Shanghai 2023

With regret we have been obliged to cancel the 2023 event due to ongoing travel restrictions. We hope and expect these restrictions to be lifted by year end, allowing Shanghai Pulp Week meetings to resume in March 2024.

Shanghai Pulpweek, 20th-24th March 2023

Given the recent relaxation of Covid restrictions in China, the CPICC has announced that Shanghai Pulpweek will return to the Shanghai Marriott Marquis City Centre from 20th-24th March.
Given the late notice, Hawkins Wright will not be hosting a formal event at this year’s Pulpweek, but we look forward to returning to Shanghai and meeting with industry participants during the week.

Hawkins Wright Shanghai Symposium

For more than fifteen years Hawkins Wright has been engaged in market research and consultancy services specifically focused on the fast developing but often opaque Chinese pulp and paper sector.
Through our unique approach combining primary fieldwork with detailed desk research, we have developed an original and industry recognised model for analysing and forecasting the Chinese market.
Throughout the course of this work we have developed an unparalleled network of clients and associates engaged in all activities relating to the sector, operating in China and overseas. Since 2005 we have worked with Chinese partners to provide a forum for Chinese and foreign companies to come together, present their views, and share ideas.

Charity fundraising

The PaperSeed Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening educational opportunities for children and young people in underserved and resource-lacking communities around the world. PaperSeed seeks to create lasting impact, well after the organization has ceased to be directly involved, by granting seed money to community-based organizations with leaders who have demonstrated an ability to run sustainable, long-lasting initiatives. We are grateful to CellMark, who underwrites all operating and administrative expenses for the foundation, thus allowing 100 percent of donations to directly benefit innovative leaders, entrepreneurs, and projects that strengthen and/or remove barriers to education.
