Outlook for Dissolving Pulp, with Fluff Pulp market insights -NEW London Pulp Week seminar

This is not a conventional conference. The symposium has been designed to tell a story: the evolution of the dissolving and fluff pulp markets - from the forces that have shaped their past, through the challenges defining the present, to the opportunities and risks that will determine their future.

Rather than focusing on the many individual developments affecting these markets, the symposium will take a broader, strategic perspective. Our aim is to connect the dots - bringing together the key macro themes shaping the industry to help delegates understand not only what is changing, but why it matters and what it could mean for their businesses and future strategy.

The past has been characterised by strong growth in demand across these pulp grades, driven to a significant extent by China. Today, however, that growth story is becoming more complex. China is increasingly evolving from a key customer for these pulps into an important competitor in their core end-use markets, as rising exports of cellulose derivatives and hygiene products capture market share across major global markets. At the same time, new capacity, changing cost structures, fibre substitution and an increasingly uncertain trade environment are reshaping the competitive landscape.

The symposium will explore this changing dynamic: what is driving it, how the competitive landscape is evolving, and what it could mean for producers, suppliers and customers across the value chain. Through a series of interconnected presentations, we will provide a high-level perspective on the sector’s most important themes - from supply, demand and costs to trade, substitution, competitiveness and new production frontiers - before considering how the industry may evolve over the coming years.

The story will be told by Hawkins Wright and AFRY, complemented by expert perspectives from across the industry and the wider trade environment. By bringing these different viewpoints together, we aim to connect the individual themes and provide a coherent picture of the forces reshaping the sector.

Our objective is simple: to ensure delegates leave with a clear understanding of where the market stands today, where it may be heading and what that could mean for their businesses.
