Cindy Yu is a China Reporter and Broadcast Editor at the Spectator. She was born and raised in Nanjing, China, until the age of 10. Cindy read Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the University of Oxford, where she also read for a Master of Science in contemporary Chinese studies. Her research focused on Chinese political propaganda and modern youth opinion. She has travelled extensively within China, and has also lived and worked in Hong Kong.

Cindy has written extensively about Chinese society – from marriage to education – and politics for the Spectator, especially covering China’s coronavirus response. She is a frequent commentator on China issues for RTE and BBC World Service and World TV.

Andrew has more than 18 years’ experience with Mondi in various strategy, business development and finance leadership roles giving him a detailed understanding of Mondi’s strategy, capital allocation priorities, financial structure and the environment in which the Group operates. He has played a key role in defining the Group’s strategic direction and re-shaping the capital structure since listing.

Andrew completed articles with Deloitte & Touche in Johannesburg in 1994. In 1995 he joined Minorco, part of Anglo American, as a financial analyst, before assuming responsibility for the group’s investment management activities, and transferring to their corporate finance department in 1998. He worked on a number of group M&A activities before being appointed a vice president of Anglo American Corporate Finance in 1999. He was appointed Mondi’s Vice President of Business Development in 2002 and Corporate Development Director in 2004. He served as CFO of Mondi from June 2005 to May 2006. He was then appointed as Group Strategy and Business Development Director before becoming the CFO of the Mondi Group in 2008.

Andrew was appointed CEO of the Mondi Group with effect from 1 April 2020.

Bill Adams, Vice President, Sustainability & Innovation joined Mercer in 2019.
Bill is responsible for leading Mercer's integrated sustainability strategy for their global operations. Bill has worked in a wide range of leadership roles in both Canada and the United States over the past 34 years, with his roles focused on engineering, manufacturing excellence, ESG strategy and corporate development. These roles took place with Weyerhaeuser and Domtar before joining Canfor in 2014 where Bill served as the Sr. Director, Sustainability, Strategy & Innovation based in Vancouver.

Bill Adams is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA in International Management from APIU. In 2020, Bill was the recipient of the UBC Dean’s Medal of Distinction in the Faculty of Applied Science. Bill has been a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia since 1987 and currently serves on the board of FPInnovations.

Arthur English joined G2 Ocean on its formation in 2017 as Chief Commercial Officer and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2020. 
Arthur has over 30 years of shipping experience, 23 of which were spent with Gearbulk in commercially focussed roles in the breakbulk, dry, terminal, combination carrier and tanker sectors including periods in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, an MBA from the University of Nottingham and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Arthur applies his deep understanding of the shipping industry in joint ventures at both management and board level.

Richard has five years of experience with Renewcell in various marketing, strategy and sales roles giving him a broad understanding of the demand and supply side of circular solutions within the dissolving pulp and fiber markets as well as how the fashion industry is trying to transforming itself to become more sustainable. 

Richard holds an MBA from Stockholm School of Economics and McGill University in Montreal and complemented this with studies in Ecology at Stockholm Resilience Center. Before Renewcell Richard spent 20 years as an entrepreneur building the international management consultancy LynxEye with offices in Stockholm, London and Singapore and the sustaintech accelerator BluePearl. Prior to this he was CEO of Arrow Electronics Sweden and Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co

Oliver is a seasoned industry analyst and consultant, boasting over two decades of expertise in the global pulp and paper sector. Since joining Hawkins Wright in 2007, he has played a pivotal role as one of the editors of Pulpwatch, the firm's monthly newsletter. He is also the co-author of the Outlook for Market Pulp service and the principal author of the Outlook for Dissolving Pulp. His leadership in consultancy projects spans feasibility studies for pulp mills across Latin America, Russia, and Southeast Asia, and he is a frequent presenter at industry conferences.
