This report quantifies the demand for different grades of market pulp according to end use applications and by region. The report is based on a survey of global producers who were asked to split their 2010 sales by destination according to the following sectors:
- Newsprint,
- Coated and uncoated woodfree(freesheet), Coated and uncoated mechanical
- Tissue
- Fluff
- Specialties
- Packaging & other
The regional end use markets covered in the report include North America, Latin America, West Europe, Japan, China and ‘Other’.
Where possible, the report also quantities the volumes of tied or affiliated shipments which are included in the market pulp statistics.
The data can be used to help more accurately prepare demand forecasts, and provide an indication of future trade patterns. In doing so the data may also help to identify some of the more vulnerable market pulp mills.
